Why was this featured? I mean, it's not bad but it's just a techno In the Hall of the Mountain King at varying speeds.

Brostro responds:

was this really featured??

If I had to describe this song in one sentence I'd say "Sustained synths and strings"

TeraVex responds:

Lmaoo right on the money!

I love simplicity in VGM because it makes me nostalgic. I like the piano very much and the melody is nice.

GundorSound responds:

Hey thanks for listening! Glad you liked it and appreciate the feedback as to why.

Everytime I hear synthwave songs like this, I feel like I should write one. Good song, mate

TitanKaempfer responds:

Thank you! And also: Go for it!
I would love to listen to some good Synthwave!

Awwwww, this song is so fun! Despite posting music a lot, you never seem to run out of quality!
Keep on truckin'

RealMrSnuggles responds:

Thanks for the comments, I always try to improve on my songs!

The flute lead is definitely the best part. This sounds medieval in a strange way.
And those bells are the exact same ones that DM Dokuro uses!
And those muted trumpets sound like the ones from Battle Against a True Hero!

Edit (9/12/2020): Just want you to know that I still listen to this a lot and I still love it the same. It's truly a wonderful track

001247 responds:

The trumpets sounding like the ones from Battle Against a True Hero is because the trumpets ARE the ones used in Battle Against a True Hero! Toby Fox really likes his soundfonts and used the (in?)famous ZUNpet sample from the TH soundfont for that song (though he normally uses the Earthbound soundfont as far as I'm concerned).
As of the bells, I'm not really that familiar with DM Dokuro, I think I only listened to a couple of Calamity mod tracks a loooong time ago and that's all, so hearing he uses the same soundfont I do is... quite a surprise I have to say :D
And the medieval sound, I've been told about that a bunch of times from that specific song, I'll guess because the instrument choices I used.

For a song made with some free software and mastered with freakin' Audacity, I can only give the highest score possible. This is extremely catchy and the instruments are so varied so you don't get bored listening.

Thanks for your review!, I appreciate it.

THAT BASS IS SO GOOD! *Ahem* Please finish this track, I'd be very grateful

Raeousge responds:

The song is finished; it was never intended to be very long.
I suppose I could make an extended version eventually, though.
Oh, and the bass is the Roland SC-88 soundfont's fretless bass, with sustain cranked up; turns out, it makes an insanely good synthy kinda bass.

Well that's a great name. Not well mixed, the piano is way too loud in relation to the drums.

Edit: So much better now, thank you for caring about your listeners

triplebarrel responds:

You're welcome.

I like other people's music more than my own
